[New] Investor Update March 1st

My takeaways from RYSE's annual meeting

*Sponsored by RYSE

Good evening Boardroom,

If you’ve been a member for a while you should be familiar with our partner RYSE and CEO Trung Pham. We’ve featured numerous updates from the company as well as have had the pleasure of hearing from Trung in the Boardroom over the past few years (feel free to look back in our archives).

But just to refresh – here’s a video of the company’s flagship product, the Smart Shade (AKA the “Last Missing Piece of the Smart Home) in action:

(I wish I had known about this product before my wife spent a hefty bundle 💸 replacing our existing shades with new ones!)

Anyways, if you have invested in RYSE or are still considering investing, I wanted to pass on their latest Annual Shareholder Meeting. It is packed full of RYSE’s amazing progress as well as ambitious plans to become the next Ring of automated shades.

But if you want to read my Summary instead, I’ve included some highlights below…

To open the Annual Meeting, CEO and Founder Trung Pham overviewed the Company’s simple but “smart” vision and mission:

mission

RYSE plans to accomplish this mission and carry out this vision by offering customers a real solution to an actual problem in a unique way (these two magic words – retrofit and affordable – would have sold me if I had known about this product)!

And what has the reception to RYSE’s smart offering been so far?

Good, IMHO! Beyond retail customers, the company has made some big inroads with commercial clients and Big Box distributors.

To expand, Trung detailed several projects the company has completed at commercial enterprises in Canada with HUGE implications for energy savings, including Work Place One…

And the Annex Hotel…

Further, the SmartShade has been picked up by a number of Big Box retailers, including:

Home depot and best buy

Beyond product adoption and increased distribution, the company continues to add TOP talent, including the following two additions to the Advisory Board. The particular expertise that stood out to me was not only knowledge of and experience with automated shade technology but also how to navigate the exit and acquisition space (yes, please – I hope that’s in the cards)!

Around the 10 minute mark, Trung gives a 10,000 foot overview of the financials of the company, overviewing how the metrics stack up to industry benchmarks – with the following information detailed:

After this, the company’s new products and technologies were overviewed by RYSE’s CTO, Marc Bishara. This included showcasing the Smart Curtain which is to be launched this year – which is especially exciting as curtains (or possibly DRAPES if you live in the South or Midwest 😄) are the next largest market to automate after shades.

Following, Andre Munteanu provided a history and current state of the company’s fundraising efforts. RYSE has been in a Series A Community Round since 2022, and according to Andre, has raised over 2 million from almost 1000 investors so far (23 min mark). If you want to check this part out, listen to the sweetest word in private investing (Hint: it’s EXIT 😉).

And finally, perhaps my favorite part of RYSE is that its offering will have the ability to improve people’s lives, especially those that need mobility assistance. Trung stated that nurses receive a lot of requests to simply lift and close shades and curtains in Assisted Living homes (I can attest as my wife does this many times a day!), so imagine how much these facilities would appreciate these Smart Devices…and imagine the simple joy this would bring those who are mobility challenged 😻.

That about sums up my broad overview of the state of one of our most exciting partners to ever enter the Boardroom – and we hope to be hearing from Trung again soon in person — stay tuned!

But in the meantime – and especially if you already have an investment interest like myself – I encourage you to watch the whole Annual Meeting using this LINK.

And if you’re not an investor but interested in jumping in, there’s still time before this Round closes ➡️ Head on over to RYSE by clicking this LINK for more information about the company’s current offering.

That’s all and thanks for reading this far…to YOUR success!
