Why I Love Warrants…
Stock warrants...that is!

Hey Boardroom,
I’m sure many of you have experienced a day at the track, and all the wonderful sights and sounds (smells, not so much…) that come along with going out to the races. For those that don’t live near a horse track or live in a state still run by Puritans where horse racing is illegal, don’t despair as there is now a way to enjoy the experience of the Sport of Kings from the comfort of your own home.
I’m talking about our new Boardroom partner, Tropical Racing. The company has built an equine empire that blends real word thoroughbred breeding and racing with a metaverse version called The Game of Silks.
Players own digital versions of real-life racehorses and earn rewards based on ACTUAL racing results. Check out AC Slater’s tweet to give you an idea what this is about:
Twitterer AC Slater is not the only one to pick up on the Game of Silks – in fact NYRA (New York Racing Association) and Fox Sports have signed a major partnership deal with the Game of Silks to introduce blockchain based thoroughbred gaming to a wide audience. Click on the image below to read more about this huge news!
This partnership has MASSIVE implications for Tropical, as it has a huge early-mover advantage in this field – taking an old-world sport, modernizing it and making it available to the masses!
This is what I love about CEO Troy Levy – he is a visionary and a true entrepreneur – forging an innovative path out of something that most would not be able to envision.
And not only blockchain barns and digital derbies – Tropical owns many physical assets including a 200-acre horse farm in Kentucky and owns a stable of racehorses that are galloping into the winner’s circle. You can follow along with Tropical’s athletes here.
Beyond participating in the track or in the fantasy world, Tropical is seeking investors to join in with them as they build their business. Funds will primarily be used to buy additional assets, land, and thoroughbred racehorses throughout all the major sales worldwide, as well as private horse purchases.
And right now, Tropical’s offering is priced at $3.50 per unit. Each unit is comprised of one (1) Tropical Racing common share and one (1) common share warrant – each of which can be exercised (purchased) at the price of $5.00 per Tropical Racing common share. [A warrant is a security that entitles the holder to buy Tropical Racing’s common stock at $5.00 (called the exercise price) for 18 months following the initial investment.]
👉I love a deal that has warrants because you essentially get a "free roll" on the company's future. You already own the shares, which is great, but the warrants can give you a lot of additional upside if the deal really performs well. This is especially exciting if you have warrants in a company that makes the leap to an IPO, which I am hoping Tropical Racing will do one day!
