Daytona was OK, but I'm betting on this pony

Hey Boardroom!

Okay one Sunday of no football down, how many more weeks to go??? I didn't actually find it too hard, as I enjoyed watching the Daytona 500. It brought back a little bit of nostalgia from possibly our worst ever Return On Investment ever - sponsoring a car in the race back in 2020.

Despite it being the worst ROI, it did end up being one of the best experiences ever.

And the final lap was one for the ages. I don’t know if you were watching that race, but just in front of the checkered flag, there was a heart-stopping crash when our car ripped through Ryan Newman’s #6 car.

This was all over the news for nearly a week and RagingBull received what I am told was “$18 million dollars worth of free publicity.” (I don’t know where they got that number, but it certainly didn’t translate into any sales for us!).

Fortunately, Ryan was ok. But we were all worried about his life for a while.

I write all this to say that besides fast cars, another type of racing I've been learning about as part of the Boardroom is horse racing — and honestly wasn't something I was too familiar with outside of my grandfather laying a few bets down here and there.

But then I made the acquaintance of Mr. Troy Levy, CEO of Tropical Racing. Meeting him reminded me of Stephen Covey's book, 7 Habits of Highly Effective People - particularly the chapter titled “Begin with the end in mind" which basically describes how effective people have a goal and structure their actions around taking steps to achieve that goal.

So why did this remind me of Troy? Well it has to do with the END he has in mind for Tropical.

Particularly ➡️ Troy told me in a recent interview that he wants to take Tropical public via IPO as he has done with other companies in his career that spans both finance and thoroughbred racing.

As an investor, nothing gets me more excited than the chance to be a part of a new IPO!!! I have been a part of several of them and I can tell you that is such a rush!

Beginning with that end in mind, Troy and his team have built a 200 acre state-of-the-art horse raising and training facility in Versailles, Kentucky, where they train their current crop of equine athletes as well as breed their future generations.

In addition to real-world racing, Tropical has launched the Game of Silks in partnership with NYRA (New York Racing Association) and Fox Sports to bring virtual racehorse ownership to a broad audience via blockchain gaming.

Multiple revenue streams are exactly the type of thing that investors in public companies like to see, so Tropical is setting themselves up for long-term success by creating numerous ways to earn money and create value for shareholders.

Taking the ancient Sport of Kings and modernizing it is a fantastic example of having a clear vision and executing on a strategy to turn that vision into reality.

It’s clear that Troy knows exactly where he’s taking Tropical, and investors have the opportunity to jump on the back of this galloping stallion and join them as they build their business. They have proven success in raising well over $10 million to date, and have done an excellent job of putting their investor’s capital to good use.

The next phase of the company’s growth includes the purchasing of additional land and thoroughbred racehorses via all the major sales worldwide, as well as private horse purchases.

One of the things I love best about this opportunity is that it is something very tangible…“Tangible” as in you can actually go to Kentucky and see your horses practicing.

You can root for your horse (and maybe even bet on them!) when there is a live racing event. Who doesn’t dream a little of being an owner of a horse racing team? And as an investor in Tropical, you can be a part owner and have all the thrills of having your own team.

And right now, Tropical’s offering is priced at $3.50 per unit. Each unit is comprised of one (1) Tropical Racing common share and one (1) common share warrant – each of which can be exercised (purchased) at the price of $5.00 per Tropical Racing common share. [A warrant is a security that entitles the holder to buy Tropical Racing’s common stock at $5.00 (called the exercise price) for 18 months following the initial investment.]

So click HERE to learn more information about this fascinating opportunity and get your mint julep recipe on point so you are ready to visit Kentucky to see your horses in action.
